The MacEwan Percussion ensemble returns to Triffo Theatre for our year-end concert. Under the direction of Dave Laing, this year’s group will present a program of varied percussion music featuring every type of percussion instrument from concert band favorites like the tympani and snaredrum; to a wide range of mallet instruments like marimba and xylophone; music featuring world percussion instruments; some material for drum set; and even a piece with boomwhackers (and if you don’t know what those are, you will have to join us to find out!). We will have a couple of special guests and one or two surprises thrown in as well, so we hope you tune in — virtually of course!
