Edmonton Jazz Orchestra & Special Guest ROBI BOTOS

April is Jazz Appreciation Month and the Edmonton Jazz Festival Society is celebrating with a special concert presentation featuring the EDMONTON JAZZ ORCHESTRA and very special guest, JUNO Award-winning pianist ROBI BOTOS. Robi Botos has been hailed as one of the most diverse multi-instrumentalists of this generation and it is our pleasure to bring him back in Edmonton for the first time since opening for Wayne Shorter at the 2012 TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival. Under the direction of Kent Sangster, the ensemble will perform a selection of Robi’s songs arranged for big band, as well as showcase new compositions by Edmonton musicians Craig Brenan, Audrey Ochoa, Kent Sangster, and Tom Van Seters. Join the celebration on Wednesday, April 26th in the Triffo Theatre for an evening of incredible jazz and big band sounds.
